CONTAINER ON BARGE

We have been recognized by the Maritime Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation with the “America’s Marine Highway Leadership Award” for our leadership efforts in the Paducah-McCracken County Container on Barge Project.

Paducah offers direct water service to the U.S. Gulf coast via the Mississippi River and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. We have excellent interstate connections with one day ground transportation to 60% of the nation’s population.

We host the northern most ice-free riverport with excellent water levels for year round service.

We are the grantee of Foreign Trade Zone #294 allowing zone to zone transfers benefitting users of imported raw materials for production.
